About the iPhone 16 Plus Screen
Released in September 2024 (model A3290 in Singapore), the iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with the Dynamic Island, running at a standard 60Hz refresh rate (it does not have the Pro models’ ProMotion or Always-On display). The front is protected by Ceramic Shield glass.
Common screen faults include cracked glass, lines across the display, flickering, black spots and touch that responds in the wrong place. Face ID sits in the separate TrueDepth camera, and after a replacement iOS may show a notice in Settings that the display cannot be verified as a genuine Apple part.
