The iPhone 16 Plus (model A3290 in Singapore; A3082, A3289 and A3291 elsewhere) launched in September 2024 with a 6.7-inch display, the A18 chip and a 4,674 mAh battery. Unlike earlier iPhones, the 16 Plus battery is held by a new adhesive that is released with a low-voltage electrical current during a repair, rather than pull tabs.
After replacement, iOS may display a notice in Settings that it cannot verify the battery as a genuine Apple part. To slow future wear, you can set a charge limit such as 80% under Settings > Battery > Charging.
