About the iPhone 16 Plus Back Glass
The iPhone 16 Plus (model A3290 in Singapore; A3082, A3289 and A3291 elsewhere) launched in September 2024 with a colour-infused, textured matte glass back and an aluminium frame. Its 6.7-inch body carries a vertically stacked dual camera with a 48MP Fusion main camera and 12MP Ultra Wide, and MagSafe magnets sit behind the glass for wireless charging.
Once the back is cracked, IP68 water resistance can no longer be relied on and glass shards can catch on pockets and fingers. A new back panel restores the original look.
