About the MacBook Air 15″ A3114 M3 (2024) Display
Apple released the 15-inch MacBook Air A3114 with the M3 chip in March 2024. It has a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina (LED-backlit IPS) display at 2880 x 1864 with 500 nits brightness and support for 1 billion colours, plus a notch for the 1080p FaceTime HD camera.
The thin MacBook Air lid offers little protection against pressure, so a common cause of cracks is closing it on an object resting on the keyboard. The glass and panel are bonded together, so the display is replaced as a unit. Look for “A3114” on the underside — the M2 15-inch Air (A2941) looks almost identical.

The Air has no HDMI port, but if the screen is unreadable you can connect a monitor through a Thunderbolt / USB-C cable or adapter to copy off your files. Keep the lid closed gently and don’t press on the cracked area.
