About the iPhone 12 Back Glass
The iPhone 12 (model numbers A2172, A2402, A2403 and A2404) launched in October 2020 with a 6.1-inch display, flat-edged aluminium frame and glossy glass back housing the dual camera. Behind the glass sits a ring of MagSafe magnets for snap-on chargers and accessories, with wireless charging at up to 15W. It came in Black, White, Blue, Green and (PRODUCT)RED, with Purple added in 2021.
A cracked back can no longer be trusted to keep out water, and loose glass may scratch the camera lens covers.
