About the Google Pixel 9a Battery
Google released the Pixel 9a in spring 2025 with the Tensor G4 chip, a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display that refreshes at up to 120Hz, an under-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance and a back without the camera bar of earlier Pixels. It is powered by a 5,100 mAh (typical) battery charged over USB-C or wirelessly.
Because the phone is sealed for IP68, it has to be carefully opened and re-sealed with new adhesive during a battery swap. Data stays on the phone throughout, and you can expect full-day battery life again once the new cell has been through a few charge cycles.
