📚 RTX 3080 10GB vs 12GB — What’s the Difference?
NVIDIA released a revised RTX 3080 12GB variant in early 2022. The 12GB version adds 2GB of VRAM and 256 more CUDA cores (8960 vs 8704), with a slightly wider 384-bit memory bus. Is 10GB VRAM enough for 4K gaming?
Yes — 10GB handles 4K in the vast majority of current titles. Some very VRAM-heavy games at maximum texture settings may benefit from 12GB, but for most gamers 10GB is sufficient.
