About the iPhone 14 Plus Back Glass
The iPhone 14 Plus arrived in October 2022 as the first non-Pro iPhone with a 6.7-inch display, powered by the A15 Bionic chip and a 4,325 mAh battery. Its back is colour-infused glass in an aluminium frame, offered in Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, (PRODUCT)RED and, from March 2023, Yellow.
MagSafe and Qi wireless charging work through the back glass, so the replacement has to sit flush and be properly bonded. The phone carries an IP68 rating from the factory; a cracked back means that protection can no longer be relied on.
