Announced in February 2023 (model V2239), the Vivo Y100 runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip and a 6.38-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, wrapped in a slim glass body with a colour-changing back panel. Its 4,500mAh cell is on the smaller side for its class, so heavy users notice capacity loss sooner, especially after a year or two of daily 44W fast charging.
Because the back is glass, the panel has to be opened carefully to reach the battery. A replacement restores full 44W FlashCharge speeds, and the under-display optical fingerprint sensor sits under the screen, so it is unaffected.
