The battery is secured with pull-tab adhesive strips, unlike the electrically released adhesive on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.
Once the new battery is fitted, iOS may show a notice in Settings that it cannot verify the battery as a genuine Apple part. Turning on the 80% charge limit under Settings > Battery > Charging helps the new cell last longer.
