About the iPhone 14 Pro Back Glass
Released in September 2022, the iPhone 14 Pro pairs a 6.1-inch ProMotion OLED display and Dynamic Island with the A16 Bionic chip and a 48MP main camera. Its back is textured matte glass in a surgical-grade stainless steel frame, rated IP68 from the factory.
Apple only moved to a separately removable back panel on the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus; the 14 Pro keeps the glass bonded to the housing, which is why the phone has to be fully disassembled for this repair. MagSafe and wireless charging pass through the back glass, so it must sit flush after fitting.
