The 3rd-generation iPad Pro 12.9 (2018, A12X Bionic) was the first 12.9-inch iPad with the all-screen design: no Home button, Face ID in the top bezel, a USB-C port and magnetic pairing and charging for the 2nd-generation Apple Pencil. Its 12.9-inch Liquid Retina LCD runs at 2732 x 2048 with ProMotion 120Hz and True Tone.
The glass, touch layer and LCD are fully laminated, so a crack means replacing the whole display assembly. Face ID uses the TrueDepth camera in the frame rather than the panel itself, so it is not part of the replaced screen.
