About the iPad Air 3 Battery
Apple released the iPad Air 3 in March 2019 (model numbers A2152 for Wi-Fi and A2123, A2153 and A2154 for cellular). It pairs a 10.5-inch Retina display with True Tone, a Touch ID home button, the A12 Bionic chip and a Lightning port, powered by a built-in 30.2 Wh lithium-polymer battery.
Units from 2019 are now well past the age where capacity fades, so short screen-on time and sudden shutdowns are common. The display is glued to the frame, so it is carefully lifted to reach the battery and re-sealed afterwards.
