About the iPad 8th Gen 10.2
The 8th-generation iPad arrived in September 2020 with the A12 Bionic chip. It keeps the 10.2-inch Retina LCD, Touch ID Home button, Lightning port and Smart Connector of the previous model, and works with the first-generation Apple Pencil.
Since the digitizer glass sits separately from the LCD, a cracked front can normally be fixed by replacing the glass only. During that repair the original Home button is transferred to the new glass so Touch ID keeps working. The built-in battery is rated at 32.4 Wh.
