Ultra Compact Office PC — RTX 3050
A capable office and creative workstation in a genuinely small case — GALAX RTX 3050 8GB and AMD Ryzen 5 5500 on an MSI B550M PRO-VDH WiFi board, with Lexar Hades 16GB DDR4 3600 and an 80+ rated FSP 650W supply. Small enough to sit on the desk, with enough GPU for design work, photo editing and lighter video projects — and it handles 1080p gaming at the end of the day. Built, cable-managed and tested.

How It Performs
1080p — Great
1440p — Esports & lighter titles
4K gaming — Not recommended
For office work this is comfortably over-specified in the ways that matter — the Ryzen 5 5500’s six cores and twelve threads mean Excel, Chrome with thirty tabs, Teams and a background export all run at once without the machine noticing. The RTX 3050 earns its place in anything visual: Photoshop and Premiere use it for acceleration, CAD viewports stay smooth for typical projects, and its 8GB of VRAM with CUDA support means Blender and Stable Diffusion run properly rather than falling back to CPU. It’s also a solid 1080p gaming card — esports titles fly, and AAA games run well at 1080p with sensible settings and DLSS. The real story is the footprint — a genuinely useful workstation in a case small enough to sit on the desk rather than under it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why an RTX 3050 in an office PC?
For pure documents and email you don’t strictly need it — and we’d point you at our $480 RTX 2060 build for gaming-first budgets. The 3050’s value here is its 8GB VRAM and modern NVENC/CUDA support: Photoshop, Premiere and CAD all use it for acceleration, and it keeps the machine useful for years rather than needing replacing when the workload grows.
Is the Ryzen 5 5500 enough for this GPU?
Yes — it’s a 6-core, 12-thread Zen 3 chip and is a comfortable match for the RTX 3050. Neither part bottlenecks the other at 1080p, which is exactly where this build is aimed. If you want more CPU later, the board takes anything up to the 5800X3D and we can quote the swap.
Does a compact case run hotter?
Not meaningfully in this build. The case has direct airflow to the GPU and the RTX 3050 is a low-power, efficient card — one of the coolest-running in its class. We thermal test every unit under sustained full load before it goes on the shelf — if it throttled, it wouldn’t be for sale.
Will it drive multiple monitors?
Yes — the RTX 3050 handles a multi-monitor desk setup comfortably, including high-resolution panels. Tell us your monitor setup on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm the right cables and outputs before collection.
Can I upgrade it later?
Yes. The B550 board takes any AM4 chip up to the 5800X3D, RAM and storage are standard, and the 650W PSU has plenty of headroom for a much bigger GPU down the road. Compact cases do limit GPU length though — WhatsApp us before buying a card and we’ll confirm it fits.
Do you do bulk pricing for offices?
Yes — WhatsApp us the number of seats and what your team runs, and we’ll quote. We can also match specs across units so every desk is identical.
