OPPO Repair Singapore — What You Need to Know

Everything about OPPO phones, their display types, SUPERVOOC charging and what to expect from a repair in Singapore.

What is OPPO?

OPPO is a Chinese smartphone brand founded in 2004, also part of the BBK Electronics group alongside Vivo, OnePlus and Realme. In Singapore, OPPO is one of the top-selling Android brands, known for its portrait photography, slim designs and SUPERVOOC ultra-fast charging. OPPO has official retail presence across Singapore including Bugis, Orchard and major shopping malls.

OPPO Model Series Explained

Series Positioning Display Key Feature
Find X (X8 Pro, X7 Ultra…) Flagship 2K curved AMOLED Hasselblad cameras
Reno (Reno 15, 12…) Mid-range premium AMOLED flat/curved Portrait photography
A-series (A78, A38…) Budget/entry AMOLED or IPS LCD Value, large battery

OPPO Display Types

2K Curved AMOLED (Find X)
The most premium display — 2K resolution with curved edges, Hasselblad colour calibration and under-display fingerprint. Most expensive to replace.
AMOLED 120Hz (Reno series)
Vivid AMOLED with 120Hz ProMotion and in-display fingerprint sensor. The Reno series is OPPO’s most widely repaired category in Singapore.
AMOLED 90Hz (A78, Reno 7/8)
Good AMOLED quality with 90Hz refresh — in-display fingerprint on some models, side-mounted on others. Mid-range repair cost.
IPS LCD (A18, A17)
Entry-level models use IPS LCD. Side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Most affordable to replace.

OPPO SUPERVOOC — Fast Charging Explained

OPPO pioneered ultra-fast charging with their SUPERVOOC technology — now found across the Reno and Find X series at 65W, 80W and 100W+ speeds. SUPERVOOC charges from 0–100% in under 30 minutes on compatible models. When replacing an OPPO battery, it must be compatible with your model’s SUPERVOOC wattage to maintain the original charging speed.

Charging Standard Speed Found On
SUPERVOOC 33W ~70 min 0–100% A-series, older Reno
SUPERVOOC 67W ~40 min 0–100% Reno 10–12 series
SUPERVOOC 80W ~30 min 0–100% Reno 13–15 Pro
SUPERVOOC 100W+ ~25 min 0–100% Find X series

Common OPPO Repair Questions

How long does an OPPO Reno screen replacement take?

Standard Reno screen replacements take 60 minutes. Curved display models (Reno Pro, Find X) take 60–90 minutes due to the curved glass assembly.

Will the in-display fingerprint sensor work after a screen replacement?

Yes — Grade A AMOLED replacements preserve in-display fingerprint functionality on all Reno and Find X models. You may be prompted to re-register your fingerprints after repair.

Will SUPERVOOC fast charging still work after a battery replacement?

Yes — our Grade A batteries are rated for each model’s SUPERVOOC spec. A cheap non-compatible battery would only charge at standard speed, which is why battery quality matters.

What is the difference between OPPO and Vivo?

Both are owned by BBK Electronics but are separate brands with distinct designs and software. OPPO is known for Hasselblad camera partnerships and SUPERVOOC charging; Vivo focuses on ZEISS optics (X-series) and FlashCharge. Parts and repair expertise do not cross over between brands.
