Refresh Rate (Hz) & FPS

Two numbers that together decide how smooth everything feels.

Hz (refresh rate) is how many times per second your monitor can update the image. FPS (frames per second) is how many frames your PC actually produces. They work as a pair: a 144Hz monitor only feels smooth if the PC pushes ~144 FPS, and 200 FPS on a 60Hz screen is wasted. Going from 60Hz to 144Hz is one of the most dramatic upgrades in gaming — aiming, scrolling, and motion all feel instantly more responsive.

🎮 For gaming buyers

Esports titles easily hit 165+ FPS on our builds at 1080p. For AAA games at 1440p, a 3070-class GPU sustains 100–144 FPS.

💼 For office buyers

60–75Hz is completely fine for documents and video calls — don’t pay extra for high refresh unless you also game.
